Geeklog

Geeklog is a free, open-source software package that allows you to create your own virtual community area, complete with user administration, story posting, messaging, comments, polls, calendar, weblinks, and more! It can run on many different operating systems, and uses PHP4 and MySQL.

Though it was designed as a content-management solution more than a blogging solution, Geeklog has many great features that can enhance your blog. Unfortunately it is also missing some important ones, such as the ability to ping sites and do trackbacks.
